Moving questions, answered.
Moving comes with questions. Here are straightforward answers about your estimate, your walkthrough, and getting ready for moving day.
Estimates & pricing
How do I get a moving estimate?
Start with your moving details, then record a room-by-room walkthrough. Review your inventory and submit it when every room is included. Million Movers uses that information to prepare your estimate.
Who sets the price of my move?
Million Movers prepares and approves your quote. CubitMove helps produce your inventory from the recordings; it does not automatically set your moving price.
What information affects my estimate?
Your inventory, route, preferred date, access at both properties, and requested packing or handling help the team understand the scope. Include stairs, elevators, parking restrictions, and any storage needs.
What if my plans or inventory change?
Tell the team before moving day if you add or remove items, change addresses or dates, or need different services. Ask for an updated written estimate that reflects the revised scope.
Do I receive a written quote?
Once Million Movers approves your quote, your inventory report and quote are combined in one PDF. You can review the line items, notes, and estimate type before discussing the next step.
Does requesting an estimate book my move?
No. Sharing a walkthrough is a request for review. Confirm availability, booking terms, payment arrangements, and your moving schedule directly with the team.
Your video walkthrough
Do I need to download an app?
No. Open the walkthrough on a phone with a supported browser and record directly through the website. You will be asked for camera permission when you are ready to record.
Is the walkthrough a live video call?
No. Record each room at your own pace. You can stop between rooms and review a recording before sending it for processing.
What should I show in each room?
Show the belongings that are coming with you, including furniture, boxes, appliances, and items in storage spaces. Move slowly and add care notes for anything fragile, heavy, or unusual.
Can I correct the inventory?
Yes. Review the item list for each room, correct quantities, add missed belongings, and leave notes before submitting the complete walkthrough.
When does Million Movers receive my report?
Your report is shared for the team’s review after you have included all your rooms, reviewed the inventory, and submitted the completed walkthrough.
What should I keep out of the video?
Avoid filming people, identity documents, financial paperwork, valuables you are not moving, or anything you do not want processed. Read the walkthrough privacy information before recording.
Planning & moving day
How far ahead should I start planning?
As soon as you have a likely moving date, begin your inventory and ask about availability. If your timing is flexible, share a range of dates so the team can review the options.
Can I request packing or storage?
Yes. Describe the help you need in your moving details. The team must confirm availability, scope, and any associated charges before those services form part of your move.
What about stairs, elevators, or difficult parking?
Include access details for both addresses. Ask your building about elevator bookings, loading areas, parking rules, and permitted moving hours before finalizing the plan.
How do I prepare fragile or oversized belongings?
Flag them in your walkthrough and add measurements or handling notes where useful. Confirm any special packing, dismantling, equipment, or handling arrangements with the team.
What should travel with me?
Keep identification, medication, keys, chargers, essential paperwork, and first-night supplies in a separate bag. Make sure that bag stays out of the moving load.
How do I check whether my route is covered?
Provide both pickup and delivery locations in your move request. Million Movers will need to confirm coverage and availability for your specific route and date.
